Dear Esteemed Members of the NEEA Family
Greetings to you all!

I take this opportunity to thank all of you for giving me an opportunity to lead the esteemed academic body of north east India, i.e. NEEA. Founded in 1997, North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA) has emerged as an important academic body of the NE region. Over the years, it has engaged itself in identifying various economic and social issues relevant for the region, deliberated and discussed them and provided policy solutions through organisation of seminars, conferences and lectures. It has also been engaged in encouraging young researchers by hosting a dedicated theme called, “Researchers’ Forum” in the annual conferences of NEEA wherein research of the young scholars are mostly presented. It is heartening to see many such young researchers doing very well at national level.I take this opportunity to thank all of you for giving me an opportunity to lead the esteemed academic body of north east India, i.e. NEEA. At this juncture, I appeal to all of you to come forward, participate in various activities of the association and strengthen it so as to make it a significant academic body in the country.
