The North Eastern Economic Association (NEEA), which came into being on 19th February 1997, is a non-political, non-partisan, voluntary regional economic association with a national perspective. The Association is registered under the SR Act XXI of 1860. Any person/institution interested in the study of socio-economic problems and issues subscribing to the objects of the Association can be member of the Association. Members of NEEA are presently drawn from each of the seven North Eastern States and also from other States of the Country like West Bengal, Delhi, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh. Activities of the Association are managed by an Executive Committee consisting of 8 office bearers and 16 members.
